Looking back...

Happy Friday everyone! I may not have been good about posting my outfits from the past week, but I did take pictures! So here are some of my outfits from the past week…

First up is my $20.00 sale purchase from Anthropologie…

The Dollops of Cream Blouse! The picture on the left is of me trying the blouse on in the fitting room… super cute! And at $19.99 I could not resist. The picture on the right is of how I wore the dress to work.

Blouse: Anthropologie Dollops of Cream Blouse (sold out)
Skirt: Anthropologie Paper Trace Skirt)
Cardigan: J. Crew Jackie Cardigan in black
Boots: J. Crew Black Tall Boots (sold out)
Belt: “Fakebite” Belt by Charlotte Ruse

Next up features a surprise find from H&M... the lovely nude colored dress featured on numerous Anthro blogs. I knew I had to try it when I saw it, and for $35 I could not pass on it. It is a little bit big, but it is nothing a well placed belt can't fix. Or in this case, a belted sweater.

Dress: H&M
Sweater: Anthropologie (2006?)
Tights: Black by Hue
Shoes: Steve Madden Black Mary Janes

Finally, I am showing an outfit I had planned to wear, but never got around to it. Cute, yes? I bought this cardigan a couple of weeks ago, and I love it. I am thinking about getting it in another color. Maybe I will wait for sale.
Cardigan: Anthropologie Roaming Frills Cardigan
Dress: Anthropologie Bold Boutonniere Dress
Shoes: Anthropologie by Pink (2008?)

I think if I were to wear this last outfit I would add a belt in a fun color...

Alright, now everyone go out and have a fantastic Friday evening.

OOTD- Copy Cat!

Today's outfit is almost entirely copied from last night’s episode of “How I Met Your Mother”. This is one of my favorite shows for so many reasons- one of those reasons being that they almost always feature at least one piece from Anthro! I always get a little over excited when I spot Anthro items on TV.

Anyways, last night the character Lily wore the ever popular Free Flow Tank. I realized that I owned something similar to each thing she was wearing. So I copied! It sure made getting dressed this morning easy.

**Disclaimer: Lily wore a turquoise cardigan. I chose my sea breeze cardi because my turquoise cardi is in my bag to take to the dry cleaners.

Top: Anthropologie Free Flow Tank (here)
Pants: Joes Knit Chelsea (sold out)
Cardigan: J. Crew Jackie Cardigan in Sea Breeze (here)
Necklace: Anthropologie (sold out online)

And for those of you who are extra observant, yes this photo was taken in an Anthro dressing room. I stopped by during my lunch break to check out the sale and get a price adjustment on the Openworks Vine Skirt (gotta love PAs!). I found a great sale deal… stay tuned for when my $20 purchase appears in an OOTD.

OOTD- The Zoya Dress

The Night Blooming Dress (left) is definitely one of my many "Ones That Got Away." I knew I wanted the dress, but I wanted to be "good" and wait for sale. By the time this dress made it to the sale rack my size had long disappeared. Usually an item can be tracked down by Anthro's amazing customer service department, but not this time. I guess we just weren’t meant to be.

I was delighted when I spotted the Zoya Dress. I don't love the pattern as much as I loved the pattern on the Night Blooming Dress, but the fit was just as lovely
and the colors are gorgeous.

When I spied this dress yesterday at my local Anthro I knew it was going to come home with me. No way was I going to risk losing this dress forever. I embraced my second chance and ran with it.

I had a different outfit planned for today, but when woke up this morning is just felt like a “Zoya” day. This is a perfect example of why my 3 week rule works. I loved this dress so much, I could not wait even one day to wear it. I know this dress will stay with me for a long, long time. And I no longer feel guilty about my little splurge.

Belt: Anthropologie Cylindrical Braid Belt in black (here)
Shoes: Me Too Black Flats (2009)

Wine, Wine, & More Wine

I spent Saturday at Passport to Woodinville, a two day wine tasting extravaganza. Seattle does not have a climate that supports growing grapes but Eastern Washington does. Over the last 10 or so years, Eastern Washington wineries have started opening tasting rooms in Woodinville. This has created a nice little “wine country” in Seattle’s back yard.

Anyways, it was all great fun. And of course I was wearing Anthropolige. So here was my outfit for that day:

Dress: Anthropologie Fifth Form Dress (sold out online)
Belt: J. Crew Olive Skinny Belt
Cardigan: Nordstrom
Shoes: Me Too Black Flats

Sorry the photo is so dark. When I had it taken I was not thinking about how the window light would make everything dark.

Well, I am off to catch up on some TV.  I am hoping for an early bed time.

OOTD-Casual Friday!

Just a quick OOTD before I head off to bed. I know, it is so lame going to bed at 10pm on a Friday night. Give me a break though, I had a long first week at a new job and I am tired! Plus I have a long day tomorrow. We are going to Woodinville for wine tasting!

Jeans: Paige Trouser Denim (old, and bought on sale from Nordstrom Rack)
Blouse: Anthropologie by Fei (2007?)
Cardigan: Banana Republic (25% off everything and BR all weekend!)
Belt: Anthropologie Snakebite Belt
Shoes: Steve Madden Black Mary Janes

OOTD

So sorry for the lack of posts… I have been super busy over the last week or so. I left one job, started another, and in between took a mini vacation to San Diego. I know I hinted at summery outfits from my trip, but it actually was not very summery down there. I saw the weather report before I left, but when it comes to sunshine, I am forever the optimist. I did not pack nearly enough warm clothing, and so my super cute outfits never materialized. Instead I lived in my “plane” jeans, t-shirt, and my hoodie. Oh well!

Here is my OOTD from yesterday. The other outfits from this week are repeats (one of the benefits of changing jobs).

Pants: Banana Republic “Martin Fit” trouser pant
Cardigan: J. Crew Jackie Cardigan in Sea Breeze
Blouse: Anthropologie Raveneli Blouse (bought on sale!)

Random thought of the day.

Should I be concerned that a sales associate from one of the Anthropologies I frequent knows me by name?
