OOTD: An Oldie but Goodie

Happy Thursday Readers! I hope this week is treating you well. My week has been incredibly busy, and I have felt that time has been flying by, but not in a good way!

Today I wore pants to work (and not jeans, and on a non-Friday)! Due to the hectic day ahead of me, I felt like wearing something familiar, classic, and easy. And no tights. I needed a break from all the tights!

This sweater has been in my closet for over 5 years (Does that make it vintage Anthro?). I love the color so much! And it is such an easy piece to layer. Plus, it is sentimental because I wore it on the first date with Eric (which is how I can date it back to 05). Awwww.

Sweater: Anthropologie, 2005
Top: Anthro Free Flow Tank, Neutral XS ($40 on sale, 2010)
Pants: Banana Republic Martin Fit Black Pant, Petite 4 (2008)
Shoes: Anthro Anticipation Heels, Size 5 ($168, buy here)
Necklace: Anthro, the name escapes me...

Hmmm, looks like someone needs a bang trim. If only I could find some spare time laying around.

POTD

I found the detachable hood to one of Eric's rain coats on the dining room table, and the first thing I thought was that it would look sooooooooooooooooooo cute on one of my beagles. Cooper happened to be the closet to me at that moment, so he got the job.

Looking good Cooper! Fierce!

Happy Tuesday Readers!

I bought this dress right before I instituted my 31 day shopping ban (still going strong!) and I just love it. After wearing it for a full day, I have decided that I will need to get some alterations done because the top is just too big on me! I ended up wearing my emergency office cardigan because the armholes hung too low exposing my bra. I think an easy and cheap fix would be to just shorten the straps.

And these shoes! Seriously, I can not rave about them enough! When I bought them I was a little cautious because they fall just outside of my comfort zone style wise. But they have proven to be so versatile and comfortable! I am just so very happy with them. Well worth (the admittedly hefty) price!

Dress: Anthro Count the Waves Dress, Small ($70 on sale here)
Shoes: Anthro Anticipation Heels, size 5 ($168 here)
Belt: Anthro Snakebite Belt, Small Grey ($32, this year's version here)
Haire Band: J Crew Black Bow Band ($4 on sale)

I have an evening of tennis and TV waiting for me. Cheers!

100% Scratch!

G, myself, and our friend Jeannie spent Sunday afternoon baking two of these:

And let me tell you, they were pretty tasty. And they are all gone. Sorry!

It was the perfect way to spend a crisp, wet fall afternoon. We baked, drank, and chit-chatted the afternoon away. Thanks for the fun girls!

PS: Today is the LAST DAY to enter Anjali's Anthropologie Blog Giveaway! She is (very generously) giving away $400 worth of Anthro gift cards. Holy moly! Go here for details: http://goldenmeans.wordpress.com/

We're off to see the Picasso!

This Saturday, I was able to snag tickets for the Seattle Picasso Exhibit. So a group of us braved the rain to check it out. Overall, the exhibit was great. Definitely worth going to see before the exhibit moves on to San Francisco. Apparently, it will only be visiting three US cities, so if you get a chance to see it- you should!

We weren't allowed to take photos, so instead I took pictures of our outfits! All of us girls were decked out in something Anthro!

Laura, on the left, is wearing the Magical Belt (aka Three Beacons Belt) that I gave her for her birthday. It matches her boots perfectly. And if you zoom in, you can see she is wearing a pair of Anthro earrings, a bridesmaids gift from Stacey. Stacey, on the right, is holding an Anthro umbrella, which I can't find online. And check out her navy coat! It is a dead ringer for the Two Paths Trench that G likes to torment me with. The ruffles! Sigh.

And of course, once the boys had finished paying for parking, I had one of them snap a photo of all three of us! So here is my OOTD for Saturday. Excuse the uber flat hair... rain.

Skirt: Anthro Thousand Days Skirt, Rust (ebay)
Shirt: Nordstrom Black Tee
Boots: Banana Republic 2008
Coat: Banana Republic Trench, 2006 (see me in it here)

And this, ladies, is how you do fall in the Northwest right! It is all about the umbrella!

Happy Sunday. Hope everyone is able to avoid those Monday Blues.

Cheers!

Happy Friday Readers!

Just a quick post of what I wore today yesterday. Sorry, but my Friday outfits tend to be scrubby. I tend to liberally interpret the term "Casual Friday."

Dress: Anthro Dandelion Wish Dress, Size 4 ($70 on sale; 2009)
Blouse: Anthro Bianca Blouse, Purple Size 4 ($68; 2010)
Tights: Anthro Berry Bush Tights, Purple Small ($18; 2009)
Shoes: Seychelles Veronica T-Straps, Black-Multi Size 6 ($90; 2010)
Scarf: ????

Again, I felt this outfit was sooooooo dark! I found myself wishing I had a similar blouse in cream. Which is why I added the scarf. Ah well, looks like I discovered a trend in my wardrobe. New rule: Must stay away from all things dark.

Oh, and sorry for the lack of outfit posts. Work has been crazy hectic so I have not had time to snap a picture before I have to change into my tennis gear. I promise to try and be better. But it does not look like work is going to slow down anytime soon, something I am very grateful for.
