Guest OOTD: Fish & Chips and Buffalo Plaid

Meet my friend Melissa. This photo is from Melissa's trip to visit me in Seattle over Labor Day Weekend back in 09 (yup, I was brunette back then...). She lives in New York, so I don't get to see her too often. But thanks to GMail, we are able to stay in touch quite easily.

Melissa and J doing what they do best: EATING!
Location: Ivar's in Seattle down on the water front
Food: 1 order of fish & chips, 1 order of clam chowder, split

Today, over GMail  Melissa exclaimed that she just loved her outfit. So I told her to take a picture and send it on over. I have been running low on Blog material since I have been repeating old outfits.

I like to call Melissa Miss J. Crew. That girl LOVES her J. Crew. And J. Crew loves her back. Must be nice. J. Crew and I have a bit of a tumultuous relationship. I love J. Crew, but  J. Crew doesn't always love me back. Sigh.

Anyways, I present to you Melissa's OOTDs! Pretty damn cute!

Cardigan: J. Crew Ethereal Cardigan
Blouse: J. Crew Buffalo Plaid Button Up
Skirt: J. Crew Serge Pencil Skirt (I guessed here, Mel am I right?)
Belt: J. Crew Skinny Belt
Tights: ?

Cardigan: Anthro Field Game Cardigan, 2010
Blouse: J. Crew ???
Pants: ?
Shoes?

I really love the Buffalo Plaid in the first outfit. It is totally inspiring me to add a J. Crew plaid button up to my Christmas Wish List (Santa, you reading?).

You can bet your pay check that I will be calling on Melissa for future outfits when G and I are running dry.

Thanks Mel ! And you can check out her blog on our Blog Roll. The Little Honey Bee.

Melissa!
Thank you for the outfits. I love love love the first one! I'm totally jealous because Justyn and I saw a similar outfit styled at the JCrew store, but with the purple skirt, and I was in love but haven't managed to get it together and duplicate it but you have inspired me. Send more photos our way!

You guys are too funny and very sweet. I cannot recommend the buffalo check shirt enough. It rocks at life! I also want pick up a more classic "plaid" - is looking like a lumberjack's wife... cute? Um, I'll let you know. ;)

ALSO, Justyn and I look like such dainty eaters above - don't be fooled! We're proper foodhounds - all visits to NYC/Seattle revolve around good eating (and concern over pants not fitting afterwards!).
