OOTD- The Mad Holiday Dash

Happy Sunday Readers!

Why, oh why, must weekends speed by so quickly!?!?! Sigh.  I feel like this weekend was just too short. I am not sure where all my time went. And I still have a million things to do before Wednesday! Including packing.

Before I go into today's outfit, I wanted to share with you these amazing penguin cupcakes my friend Stacey created. Saturday night I hosted a holiday cookie exchange and these little guys stole the show. Adorbs!

After stuffing our faces, we all settled in to watch the holiday classic, White Christmas. It was a lovely, relaxing evening in with the girls. Just what everyone needed in the middle of this crazy month that is December.

And now on to today's OOTD. I threw this on the brave the mall for some last minute Christmas shopping with Eric. The mall was insane, and not at all fun. Turns out the one item we went out to get was sold out and we left empty handed. Throw in the crazy crowds, and the speeding ticket we got on the way to the mall and the trip turned out to be one big, fat FAIL. At least I looked cute.

OOTD- The Fox Got All Dressed Up (just to prove a point...)

Happy Friday Readers!

I hope you all had a good week. Today marked my last full work week for the rest of the year. Two more days in the office, then I will be heading out of town. Woohoo!

But between now and Wednesday I have tons of stuff to get done. I need to finish my Christmas shopping, pack for my 10 day trip, and throw a Christmas party. Throw in tying up all loose ends at work, and my schedule is packed!

Before I start to frantically run through my To Do List, I will share with you my outfit from today yesterday. It involves the oh-so-cute Wily Sweater, named so because it is covered in tiny foxes. Both G and I snapped this up on sale a couple weeks ago. G has since returned hers because she could not think of how to wear it with anything other than jeans.  Just to prove her wrong, I give you the Wily Sweater all dressed up for work.

Top: Anthro ?, S (2010; $30 on sale)
Skirt: The Limited, 2 (2001; ?)
Tights: Anthro ?, S/M (2009; $10 on sale)
Shoes: Anthro Small Doeses Heels, 5 1/2 (2010, $80 on sale)
Watch: Tissot from Switzerland (2009; Xmas gift from parents)

Sweater: Anthro Wily Sweater, S (2010, $50 on sale)

Have a good weekend all!

OOTD: Green (with envy?)

Happy Monday Readers!

Today kicks off my last full week of work for the rest of the year! I am heading out of town for 10 full days next Wednesday! Jealous? I am so looking forward to a break! Oh how I miss the days of Winter Break (though I will never miss finals).

Stay tuned for an upcoming feature on efficient packing. I consider myself something of an expert. I once fit 5 weeks worth of clothing into a carry on! Though it was in the middle of summer...

Anyways, onto today's outfit... I kind of went a little crazy with the green. I try not to be so matchy-matchy, but at least I used different shades of green.

Blouse: Nordstrom Spotty Dotty Blouse, S (2010, $39 Nordy's Anniversary Sale)
Cardigan: J. Crew Jackie Cardigan, M (2009, Xmas gift from Sis)
Pants: Banana Republic Martin Trouser, Petite 4 Black (2007, $40 bought w/ employee discount)
Shoes: Anthro Skelly Ankle Boots, 5 (2010, $99.95 on sale)

Necklace: Anthro ? Necklace (2008, $40)
Belt: J. Crew Olive Green Skinny Belt, S (2009, Xmas gift from Sis)
Ring: Seattle Botique Owl Ring (2010, $16)

And as always, sorry for the crummy iPhone pictures. I am oh-so-close to pulling the trigger on a Nikon D5000.

Cheers!

OOTD and a little bragging

Happy Weekend Readers!

I don't know about you all but December is flying by.  Someone mentioned that it was only about 15 days until Christmas, I was shocked!  I do love this time of year, it's so cozy!

My OOTD (well, yesterday) is below.  J and I went to a Christmas event at the downtown Anthropologie.  We were really excited but the event was not as much even as it was a walk around the store with cookies and champagne...which is okay by me!  There was, however, a photographer there taking photos of people in this cute little display in the store, so standby for our photos. Anyway, here is what I wore.

Top: JCrew: Winter 2008
Belt: Banana Republic: Winter 2009
Skirt: Banana Republic: Spring 2008
Tights: Target (they are actually a really bright pink)
Shoes: not sure what brand but they are from the Macy's $20 shoe sale!

And now, for a little bragging.  The below outfit is not particularly interesting at all but the reason I am posting it is because the top was $5 from Anthropologie at a sidewalk sale that takes place every summer here in Seattle!  Amazing!  Sorry for the weird puppet like hands, I was trying to show my rings :(

Top: Anthropologie: Summer 2008 $5!
Sweater: JCrew Jackie Cardigan
Necklace: Urban
Left ring: Banana
Right ring: great boutique around the corner from my house
Jeans: Gap 1969 ultra skinny

Hope you all have a lovely weekend.  J and I are going to see Black Swan tomorrow, I hear it's wild and I'm super excited.

Guest OOTD: Fish & Chips and Buffalo Plaid

Meet my friend Melissa. This photo is from Melissa's trip to visit me in Seattle over Labor Day Weekend back in 09 (yup, I was brunette back then...). She lives in New York, so I don't get to see her too often. But thanks to GMail, we are able to stay in touch quite easily.

Melissa and J doing what they do best: EATING!
Location: Ivar's in Seattle down on the water front
Food: 1 order of fish & chips, 1 order of clam chowder, split

Today, over GMail  Melissa exclaimed that she just loved her outfit. So I told her to take a picture and send it on over. I have been running low on Blog material since I have been repeating old outfits.

I like to call Melissa Miss J. Crew. That girl LOVES her J. Crew. And J. Crew loves her back. Must be nice. J. Crew and I have a bit of a tumultuous relationship. I love J. Crew, but  J. Crew doesn't always love me back. Sigh.

Anyways, I present to you Melissa's OOTDs! Pretty damn cute!

Cardigan: J. Crew Ethereal Cardigan
Blouse: J. Crew Buffalo Plaid Button Up
Skirt: J. Crew Serge Pencil Skirt (I guessed here, Mel am I right?)
Belt: J. Crew Skinny Belt
Tights: ?

Cardigan: Anthro Field Game Cardigan, 2010
Blouse: J. Crew ???
Pants: ?
Shoes?

I really love the Buffalo Plaid in the first outfit. It is totally inspiring me to add a J. Crew plaid button up to my Christmas Wish List (Santa, you reading?).

You can bet your pay check that I will be calling on Melissa for future outfits when G and I are running dry.

Thanks Mel ! And you can check out her blog on our Blog Roll. The Little Honey Bee.
